Description: The Latino Community Fund, Inc. (LCF Georgia) was founded in 2017 to provide economic funding to groups that do critical work in the state but lack access to networks of funding and power. Fast forward to 2020, due to the onset of the pandemic, the community of South Georgia was especially impacted. The economic and social support needs of the community in southern Georgia led LCF Georgia to create the South Georgia Navigation Program (SGNP), a community led, community-staffed program. Description: The RWHP team and their collaborators tested participatory strategies to create multilingual resources alongside Indigenous communities. Materials included information about the COVID19 pandemic through mediums such as fotonovelas, audionovelas, and flyers translated into Indigenous languages and representing Indigenous peoples. Description: Starting March 31, 2021, Dr. Anabel Rodriguez’s UT Health team and volunteer interpreters facilitated on-dairy farm COVID-19 vaccine clinics by bridging established relationships with Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) Public Health Region 1 in Lubbock, Texas, and Aurora Organic Dairy in Stratford and Dublin, Texas. Dr. Rodriguez’s and her team’s farmworker research and outreach efforts and pre-existing relationships with producers in this rural region of Texas helped propel this initiative into action. Implementing a Cohort Process to Minimize COVID-19 Infection for Migrant Farmworkers    (44841). Resource Type: Publication. Description: During the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, migrant and seasonal farmworkers (MSFWs) experienced fewer protections due to their migratory patterns and work conditions. As the 2020 season started, MSFWs were traveling from Texas or Mexico to Iowa, and in July 2020, a family farm in Iowa experienced an outbreak of COVID-19 cases among its migrant and H-2A guest workers. As workers returned for harvest later that year, Proteus, a federally qualified health center (FQHC), implemented a cohort process to minimize risk of COVID-19 infection during travel to Iowa in August and September of 2020. Impact of a Multilingual Outreach Model on COVID-19 Vaccinations and Testing for Farmworkers and their Families at Community-based Events   (44841). Resource Type: Publication.
