Resource Summary: This external website includes a repository of potentially-relevant, curated resources from an organization outside of the HRSA-funded training and technical assistance organizations. (Note: resources in such collections do not undergo review by the Clearinghouse). This website repository contains over 350 downloadable resources developed by CDC's "Learn the Signs. Act Early" project. The overall program encourages parents and providers to learn the signs of healthy development, monitor every child’s early development, and take action when there is a concern. Resources include milestone tables, information on what to do when issues arise, tools to support developmental surveillance for healthcare providers, tools for early childhood educators to track milestones and engage families, resources for WIC staff, and training for early care and education providers.

Resource Details: The Learn the Signs. Act Early program aims to improve early identification of developmental delays and disabilities, including autism, by facilitating parent-engaged developmental monitoring and promoting developmental screening so children and their families can get the early services and support they need. The program is made up of three components: Health education campaign, Act Early Initiative, and Research and evaluation.
