Resource Summary: Mental health is crucial to an individual’s overall health and well-being. Research has shown that mental health diagnoses, such as depression, are linked to an increase in the risk of many types of physical health problems, particularly chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and stroke. Improving access to mental health services is a complex and multifaceted endeavor.
