Resource Summary: This panel-style presentation will feature a diverse group of providers in mental health, nursing, and medicine with expertise in LGBTQIA+ health, providing their unique perspectives on how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected patient care for LGBTQIA+ people. Participants will learn strategies to support LGBTQIA+ patients accessing healthcare and how to provide affirming treatment and referrals to address the lasting mental health effects of COVID-19, including increased levels of anxiety, substance use, and depression triggered by social isolation, bereavement, fear, or loss of income.
