Resource Summary: This resource provides educational prevention tools that Community Health Workers (CHWs) can use and share with Migrant Seasonal Agricultural Workers and other vulnerable populations to reduce diabetic health complications. There are several downloadable resources available to guide CHWs on risk factors and prevention methods in oral, eye, and foot health complications, which are commonly linked to diabetes.
Resource Details: Diabetes care, such as blood sugar control, a balanced diet, weight management, regular exercise, and checkups are vital to diabetic health. Taking special care of every part of the body to avoid serious complications, is just as critical. The following education resource will take a special look at diabetes and diabetic health complications in oral, eye and foot health in Migrant and Seasonal Agricultural Workers (MSAWs). This resource will provide educational prevention tools that Community Health Workers (CHWs) can use and share with MSAWs and other vulnerable populations to reduce diabetic health complications.
