Resource Summary: This webinar highlighted NNCC’s patient and community expert panel to discuss the important role patient voices play in addressing stigma in the care setting.

Resource Details: Additionally, drawing from the nursing practice of shared decision making and patient-centered care, this webinar looked closely at the culmination of 2 years of work elevating the patient experience in care delivered for SUD, persistent pain and ID where stigma remains a burden felt primarily by the patients seeking care. This webinar also identified fundamentals of nursing practice that support and honor the person receiving care, like shared decision making while addressing stigma.
