Resource Summary: This user's guide provides strategies for health centers to implement the oral health core clinical competencies for integration of oral health and primary care practice. The guide includes promising practices from health centers that piloted the implementation fo the core clinical competencies.
Resource Details: In 2015, NNOHA piloted the implementation of five oral health core clinical competencies for integration of oral health and primary care practice. The five core clinical competencies are: oral health risk assessment, oral screenings, preventive interventions, education and communication, and interprofessional collaborative practice. This User's Guide provides strategies for health centers to integrate medical and dental programs throug the use of these competencies.
